Wata Igarashi has developed one of techno’s most identifiable sonic signatures. Precision, tension and psychedelic colour converge, generating a sense of cosmic momentum.

His music carries a distinct sense of lift: unfolding layers, finely tuned frequencies and a clarity that gives his tracks their unmistakable presence on the dance floor.

While techno is the core of his practice, Igarashi releases ambient and experimental material that follows the same line of thinking. Dynamics, tone and space remain central - different tempos, same precision.

The 2025 Dekmantel album My Supernova distills this approach into a bold techno statement, marked by momentum, psychedelia and surgical sound design.

Now based in Amsterdam, with roots in Tokyo’s electronic landscape, Igarashi tours globally with both DJ sets and live shows. His performances - DJ or live - move between different contexts, from intense techno focused settings to more listening oriented environments.
